Johnny Football Academy (JOFA), affectionately known as the BlackYhellos, was established on June 15, 2024, by the passionate and driven Coach Johnny. Built on a foundation of dedication, discipline, and pure love for the game, JOFA is not just an academy — it’s a launchpad for football dreams.
Our players wear the iconic Black and Yellow with pride, standing out not just for their colors, but for their work ethic, spirit, and raw talent. With our bold slogan, “We Color Football”, we aim to bring excitement, creativity, and identity back into the sport — one player at a time.

We’re proud to have Goodness S. Lawyer as our dedicated Team Nurse and Physiotherapy Lead.
With her deep knowledge of sports medicine and physiotherapy, Nurse Goodness plays a crucial role in keeping our players healthy, fit, and ready to perform at their best. Her responsibilities include:
Monitoring Players Health
She conducts regular check-ups and tracks player wellness, ensuring each athlete is in peak condition.
Injury Prevention & Recovery:
Through customized warm-ups, cool-downs, and rehabilitation programs, she works to prevent injuries and support full recovery when they occur.

Raymond Amobi
TEAM CEO
The Administrative Head/ CEO of Johnny Football Academy, Raymond Amobi who is currently based in the London England, leads the vision and growth of the academy with a deep commitment to excellence in all departments of the academy on and off the pitch, He ensures the smooth day-to-day running of Johnny Football Academy. From coordinating logistics and managing communications and academy operations, he plays a crucial role in keeping everything organized and efficient. With strong leadership and a keen eye for detail, he supports both staff and players, making sure the academy functions seamlessly and meets up with his desired results and goals
Sir Clifford Otuoraha
TEAM DIRECTOR
Team Director of Johnny Football Academy, brings a wealth of experience in player development, team management, and competitive strategy, a former local and grassroots player (Goalkeeper) Having played football across the Northern and Southern part of the country, Sir Cliff as he is popularly called is Responsible for overseeing all coaching staff and team operations, as the Team Director he ensures that every player receives top-tier training and support. With a strong background in youth development and a passion for nurturing talent, He plays a key role in shaping the future stars of the players through discipline, teamwork, and excellence on and off the pitch.
Coach Mike Okodute
Head Coach JOFA Promise
Mike Okodute, fondly known as “Uncle Mike”, is the Head Coach of JOFA Promise, bringing a wealth of experience from grassroots football to his role. A passionate and dedicated football educator, Coach Mike has spent years shaping young talents at the foundational level of the game, where he has become a respected leader and mentor.
With a deep love for youth development, Coach Mike thrives in environments where he can teach both technical football skills and life principles. His coaching philosophy centers around instilling discipline, teamwork, and strong moral values in his players — both on and off the pitch.
Coach Mike is known for his Tiki-Taka-inspired playing style, with a strong emphasis on ball possession and fluid movement. His preferred and most successful tactical setup is the 4-2-3-1 formation, which he has used to achieve consistent success with JOFA Promise.
Beyond his role at JOFA Promise, Coach Mike also actively supports the CJ Project — an extension of the JOFA initiative that provides a platform for experienced players to enjoy football in a more relaxed and fun environment. In addition, he works closely with coaching staff across all levels at Johnny Football Academy, contributing to the development of a formidable squad within the academy’s camp.
Off the pitch, Coach Mike is a family man — happily married and a proud father — whose values extend seamlessly into the way he leads and connects with his players.
Coach Young Emmanuel
Player Development & Fitness Coach
Young Emmanuel is a passionate and energetic member of the Johnny Football Academy coaching team, where he plays a key role in player development and fitness training. As an assistant coach, he supports the head coaches across various teams, helping to implement tactical drills, manage player conditioning, and ensure that athletes are both physically and mentally prepared for competition.
Coach Young is deeply invested in grassroots football development and is known for his team-building skills, player-first approach, and sharp tactical insights. He has earned the admiration and respect of the players he works with due to his commitment, approachable nature, and motivational presence on and off the pitch.
Currently, Coach Young is in Lagos undergoing his NIS Coaching Certification, furthering his education and sharpening his coaching capabilities. Despite being away, he remains actively involved with the Academy, seizing every opportunity to train and connect with the players during his visits to Asaba.
Coach Young’s journey with Johnny Football Academy began with a six-month internship program (July to January), during which he made a significant impact. His potential was quickly recognized, and the club supported his growth by sponsoring him for a three-day coaching course with foreign coaches from Torino Football Club, Italy, in partnership with De Oyibo ACTS Sports in Kwale, Delta State.
As he continues his coaching development, Coach Young remains enthusiastic about his future with Johnny Football Academy and is eager to return full-time — unless greater opportunities arise in the wider football world

Ngozi Ann Chukwunedum
Financial Administrator
As our Financial Administrator, Ngozi is responsible for managing the financial health of Johnny Football Academy. From budgeting and expense tracking to handling payments of staff, players and financial reporting, she ensures transparency and accountability in all financial matters. With a strong background in finance and attention to detail, Ngozi Chukwunedum supports the academy’s growth by maintaining solid financial practices and ensuring resources are effectively managed. She is also the middleman between our current partners “THE CASHEW” and our players, as she processes fast and low interest loans to players in a matter of minutes.
Coach Johnny
FOUNDER
Johnny Football Academy was founded by Isaac Johnny, Popularly referred to as Coach Johnny, his passion for the game and dedication to youth empowerment laid the foundation for everything the academy stands for today. With a vision to nurture raw talent and provide a platform for young players to excel, he established the academy as a platform to help young ballers enjoy their dreams at the local level . The Founder’s legacy continues to drive the academy’s mission of excellence, discipline, and integrity in football development. Leading the Academy through core Christian values, Coach Johnny would not discriminate players of other religions accommodating both Muslims and Christians imbibing in them the principles of success in Life, Business, Relationships and Careers, his love for the players shines through his eyes and he still enjoys time doing what he loves most, doing everyday coaching on the field with the players.
